British Credit Awards 2022 Shortlist Released Ahead of March Awards Night
Ahead of the biggest night in the British Credit Industry, the official shortlist of nominees at the Chartered Institute of Credit Management’s British Credit Awards has been revealed.
With a record-breaking number of entries, the 2022 event is set to be one of the biggest ceremonies in recent years and the first in-person since 2019, meaning the judges task of shortlisting entries was made that little bit more challenging.
The shortlist includes 104 entrants and potential winners from the likes of Essentra PLC, Debt Register, Shoosmiths LLP and Company Watch across 16 categories including Credit Professional of the Year, Best Employer of the Year and the eagerly awaited B2B Team of The Year award that includes for nominations for Aggregate Industries, The Adecco Group and Valor Hospitality Europe.
However, one category not featured on the shortlist will see five other surprise winners presented with their trophies on the night making for an exciting end to the ceremony. The new Excellence in Credit Management Award, being presented for the first time this year, will celebrate those organisations that have gone above and beyond to support and develop their credit teams whilst maintaining an exceptional standard of excellence.
Alongside the Excellence in Credit Management award, another new award for 2022 sees organisations awarded for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Resilience and Continuity Award will recognise firms that went above and beyond for clients and employees, and sees entries from the likes of Skyscanner, Biffa Waster Services and Optimum Finance.
Sue Chapple, Chief Executive of the CICM is excited to see the awards return to an in-person format along with presenting some well-deserved awards: “Being able to present this year’s awards in person means so much to us as an Institute as it will allow us to celebrate the resilience of this industry over the past two years.
“We’ll finally be able to connect with friends and colleagues many of us haven’t seen or heard from in a long time, and for an industry that prides itself on its people, that’s something very special. And of course, we’re excited to be able to award and champion those who have gone above and beyond this year.”
