Bristow & Sutor Group promotions highlight commitment to collaboration

The Bristow & Sutor Group is a partnership between Debt Recovery Plus (DRP), Credit Style, and Bristow & Sutor. Over the past year, all three businesses within the group have committed to working closely together, ensuring that the successes, achievements and insight gained by each unique team contributes to performance improvements and best practice strategies for all.

Credit Style, based in Sheffield, is built on four main pillars of experience, White label collections outsourcing, pre-legal collection services, field visit remediation solutions and house legal services as a fully licensed, SRA law firm. DRP, headquartered in Manchester, is the leading provider of debt recovery services for the private parking sector and offers the highest recovery rate in the industry. Bristow & Sutor, based in Redditch, has over 44 years of experience in the collection of local council tax, non-domestic rates and unpaid Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and scored a flawless 100% in an independent audit of adherence to the CIVEA code of practice.

As part of a long-term commitment to collaboration, the Bristow & Sutor Group continues to adapt the way its teams are structured. Earlier this month, they hired two leading industry experts, Michelle Giles and Peter Haywood, who both share extensive respective careers in local authorities and across revenues and benefits. Now, the company has taken the next step in its ongoing development plan and announced three internal promotions, aiming to consolidate group activities, methods and approaches even further.

Steve Bramley has taken up the mantle of Group Sales Director, Emma Watson has been announced as Client Development Manager and Paul Kyte has become the new Head of Strategic Accounts. Between them, these three colleagues have worked in various roles throughout the companies that form the Bristow & Sutor Group for a combined 51 years.

Steve has worked in the debt collection industry for 28 years and co-launched Credit Style in 2007 to provide bespoke and full-lifecycle credit and debt recovery services. On his new role as Group Sales Director, Steve said, “As a joint force our business now has the full capability to deliver a debt recovery service that spans the entire delinquency journey, and our business is excited to support its clients in achieving best in class debt reduction.

Emma Watson joined Bristow & Sutor as Head of External Communications in 2019, having previously spent ten years working in the enforcement industry. On her new position as Client Head of Client Solutions, Emma said, “I am Thrilled to head our Client Solutions Team, Bristow & Sutor have always been recognised for the exceptional support they give to clients and this approach to partnership working is something I look forward to developing across the rest of the group.”

Finally, Paul Kyte joined Bristow & Sutor in 2009 after two decades of experience on parking projects and services. He is a council member of the British Parking Association (BPA) and most recently was Head of Client Development for Bristow & Sutor. On his promotion to Head of Strategic Accounts, Paul said, “I am delighted to have been appointed as Head of Strategic Accounts which will allow me to further develop our relationship with existing clients, such as Transport for London, and also explore and support other opportunities across the Group.”

The Bristow & Sutor Group has won several accolades in recent times including recognition for digital transformation, innovation and training & development. This included becoming the first-ever double-award winners at the inaugural 2022 CIVEA Awards.
