100 New Jobs for Kilmarnock PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 08 February 2010

Business is booming at one Kilmarnock company, with the announcement that up to 100 jobs are to be created over the next year.

Mackenzie Hall Ltd, the credit and debt recovery specialists, have already recruited for around twenty new jobs in the last quarter, with a further 40 to 50 posts to be filled in the next couple of months, with more expected later in the year.

The new Telephone Collector and Team Manager posts will be based at Mackenzie Hall’s state-of-the-art call centre and head quarters in Kilmarnock’s Portland Street, where the workforce already exceeds 100 people.

Chief Executive Paul Mackenzie commented: “This is great news for Mackenzie Hall and underlines our commitment to Kilmarnock.  Since founding the business in 2003, we have experienced steady growth, building up an excellent team of highly skilled personnel. Now with considerable new business wins under our belt, Mackenzie Hall is expanding and we are looking to recruit experienced, enthusiastic people with excellent communication and negotiation skills to be part of our continued development and growth.”

Essentially helping credit firms trace debtors, and helping debtors pay off what they owe through realistic payment plans, Mackenzie Hall works with most of the UK’s largest debt purchasers, finance houses, utilities companies, mail order firms and, most recently, overseas-based online suppliers of ‘pay day loans’. The company deals with in excess of 1 million individual debts per annum, and with the vast majority of contact made via telephone, mail, text or through their interactive website, Mackenzie Hall is at the forefront of both technological innovation and best practice.

“The Debt Collection industry has changed considerably in recent years, and it is constantly evolving to meet regulatory standards and employ the best technology to identify and enable those who can pay off their debts to do so,” continues Paul. “In fact, it is probably one of the most closely regulated sectors, and Mackenzie Hall is actively involved in co-ordinating best practice compliance throughout the industry. All of our staff receive full and ongoing training, and the skills required are reflected in our excellent rates of pay.”
