Thursday, 01 March 2018
UK credit management services (CMS) provider 1st Credit today becomes Intrum, following its acquisition by the global firm in 2017.

Intrum will continue to lead the UK field in ethical collections and has expanded from debt purchase to a wider range of solutions. These include early arrears outsourcing, shared services and partial outsourcing. As well as making use of white-labelled technologies, clients can transfer their entire collections teams to Intrum.

The company has been rated gold by Investor in Customers four years running and has won a string of awards for its ethical approach to collections.

“Today we are delighted to become Intrum, reflecting that the UK business is part of a global credit management firm,” says UK Managing Director Eddie Nott.

“Intrum will continue to provide the industry-leading approach to customer care for which we are renowned in the UK, while offering a wider range of services and approaches to managing customers in arrears.”

Nott adds: “Our solutions are individually tailored to business and customer needs across both the private and public sectors. Backed by financial strength and a broad global presence, we are dedicated to helping our clients get paid and freeing their customers from problem debt.”
