VAS launches new valuation panel PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 14 November 2017
Valuation Audit Services (VAS) has launched a new, independent, valuation panel management company.  Called VAS Panel, it has launched to assist property lenders with the instruction of loan security valuations throughout the country.

This expands the VAS group which includes VAS Audit, an independent valuation auditing service, and VAS Software, a cloud based technology platform that provides lenders with the ability to manage their existing valuation panel or create a new one with assistance from VAS.

VAS Panel complements the existing VAS businesses and helps lenders in a different way. It assists lenders in the instruction of loan security valuations from a hand-picked valuation panel with entrusted valuers across the country. These range from established local practises to larger multi-disciplined valuation companies with offices nationwide.

VAS Panel is aimed at all lenders, from assisting with the placement of a valuation where the lender does not have the time or coverage to do it themselves, to full panel management. VAS panel is also of huge assistance to growing lenders. This includes those either expanding their lending into a new part of the country but not familiar with valuers in that area, or carrying out different types of lending where specialist valuers are required, for example hotels or nursing homes etc.

VAS Panel’s affiliated company, VAS Audit, is also on hand to perform valuation auditing, carried out by experienced surveyors. This makes sure VAS’s clients are provided with the most accurate valuations possible. This service is of value to both lenders and valuers as it helps to identify any errors or property specific issues and can add additional recommendations, adding value to a lender’s underwriting process and providing additional surety.

VAS Panel will be one of the only completely independent panel management companies in the country and will provide a valuable, unique and independent offering to the lending market.

VAS Panel has been established by Stephen Todd and Gina May. Both have worked in the property valuation industry for many years and so have a real understanding of both the valuation market and challenges faced by lenders. Both are trusted names amongst brokers, lenders and valuers.

Stephen Todd, co-founder of VAS Panel and founder of VAS said, “The key to providing maximum value to our lender clients is to ensure their valuations are being placed with the most relevant and experienced valuers. The property lending market requires valuers to carry out a huge variety of different valuations ranging in complexity and specialisms, from a terraced house to a large scale development and everything in between.

“Being able to place valuations through our sophisticated panel and bespoke software, combined with a valuation auditing service, is unrivalled and will help our clients reduce property specific lending risks. Adding VAS Panel as a new service to further assist lenders therefore makes perfect sense.”

Gina May, co-founder of VAS Panel says, “We pride ourselves on providing a fantastic customer service in all areas of the job. We are able to provide both lenders and brokers with a tailor-made service to an industry where speed is of primary importance.”
