Thursday, 10 August 2017
Law firm Else Solicitors based in Burton-on-Trent has recently announced the promotion of three female team members to senior positions.

The new promotions are Felicity Fisher, who will become Head of Commercial Property, Laura Charles who becomes Head of Debt recovery and Kim Hylton who has been promoted to Marketing Executive.

In her new role, Felicity will lead a team of four dedicated commercial property specialists. The team helps managing directors, business owners, commercial and private landlords and tenants avoid the many pitfalls that may be encountered as the owner or tenant of a commercial property such as buying or selling land or negotiating leases. Felicity has previously worked for Bovis Homes and law firm Eversheds, and has therefore experienced being on both sides of the fence.

Commenting, Felicity said “I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead a department in an award-winning law firm that has a great local presence and reputation. This opportunity means I can ensure the team works with clients to ensure the advice we give really counts and the deal we negotiate has a positive impact for our clients.”

Laura Charles will lead a team has a 95% recovery rate on its debt collection appointments. Commenting on her promotion, Laura Charles added, “Else was founded on debt recovery and dispute resolution work and these areas continue to important cornerstones of the business. I am happy and excited to be given this new opportunity. Our aim will be to increase our debt recovery success rate and in doing so, reduce payment times for our clients even more.”

Finally, Kim Hylton has been promoted to Marketing Executive. Kim joined the firm as a graduate in the administration team having gained a Law and Criminology degree from the University of Derby.

Commenting Kim said, “Working at Else has enable me to experience all aspects of working in a law firm and I have particularly enjoyed being involved in Marketing. This new role gives me the opportunity to further raise awareness of the Else brand across the region as well as helping to grow the firm further by retaining and attracting new clients.”

Chris Else, Managing Partner of Else Solicitors and Vice President of the Burton Chamber of Commerce, commented: “Felicity, Laura and Kim have earned these promotions. We are a local, friendly law firm, and, where possible, we will always look to further the careers of existing staff. The management team was pleased to be able to promote internally and recognise their hard work and commitment towards helping us expand our presence whilst also providing an excellent service to our clients.”
