Wednesday, 26 July 2017
Receivables management expert Victoria Herd has been appointed as a Director at commercial debt collection agency, Hilton-Baird Collection Services.

A Fellow and Advisory Board member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM), Victoria will be using her extensive expertise to help the company’s corporate clients to improve their order-to-collections process, policies and systems in order to boost working capital.

She will also be working closely with the UK’s insolvency practitioners and asset based lenders, helping their clients to identify ways to improve the performance and efficiency of their receivables management function.

Victoria joins Hilton-Baird Collection Services from Deloitte, where she spent six years performing a similar role with their clients. She additionally has 10 years’ experience leading credit departments at businesses across a wide range of sectors, including FMCG, construction and manufacturing.

Victoria Herd said: “I am delighted to join Alex and his team at one of the most highly respected and forward-thinking debt collection agencies in the UK. As late payment continues to pose a significant challenge to businesses of all sizes, it is important that their order-to-collections process is as efficient as possible to reduce the threat and improve results. I am looking forward to helping businesses identify and implement ways to achieve this.”

Alex Hilton-Baird, Managing Director of Hilton-Baird Collection Services, commented: “Victoria’s appointment will enable us to deliver outstanding credit management expertise to an increasing number of businesses who are looking for ways to combat the often devastating effects of late payment. Her impressive experience and track record of working with businesses across a wide range of sectors speaks for itself, and we’re thrilled to have her on board.”

Philip King, Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management, said: “It's fantastic to see a CICM Advisory Council member move into a role where she'll be able to work with so many businesses day to day to improve their credit management, and ultimately make a real difference to their performance.”
