FSB: Brexit legislation must deliver for Scottish small firms PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 22 June 2017
Commenting on the proposed legislative measures set out in today’s Queen’s Speech, Colin Borland, FSB’s head of devolved nations said:   “The raft of Brexit bills announced today must be shaped with the needs of smaller firms in mind.

“Specifically, we will be looking to the Immigration Bill to deliver a system which is responsive to the needs of Scottish smaller employers, and not designed just for big business and the public sector.

“With a majority of Scottish firms still pessimistic about economic prospects, we need to see governments in Edinburgh and London focus relentlessly on getting local economies moving. The Brexit process can’t get in the way of business as usual.”
