Monday, 05 June 2017
Credit industry veteran and CSA President John Ricketts has joined Liverpool-based Ardent Credit Services as its new managing director.

The appointment, effective June 1st, sees the former iQor chief take the reins at the fast-growing DCA in its twentieth anniversary year. The existing managing director and founder, Steve Murray, will now take on the role of CEO and focus on service excellence and driving the company’s digital agenda.

John, who lives in Cheshire, has thirty-seven years’ experience in the credit services sector and has held board positions at Robinson Way and the Infocheck Group. He also held senior positions at Dun and Bradstreet, Experian and Allied International Credit.

Commenting on his appointment, John said: “I'm delighted to be joining Ardent in its anniversary year. This remains a compliance and performance-driven industry and Steve has built a successful business which has all of the right foundations for further growth. We’re on an exciting journey and I’m looking forward to helping a great team excel.”

Steve Murray added: “Growth requires strong foundations and John’s appointment is an important addition to our talented team. I’m delighted to welcome him on board at this exciting stage in the company’s continued progression.”

John has been a director and board member of the CSA since 2009 and following three years as vice president became president in Feb 2017. John is a member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management and sits on the Institute's technical committee.
