Elevate Credit International Limited (‘Elevate UK’), the business trading as online lender under the Sunny brand in the UK, today announces the appointment of three new members to its risk and data science team.

Nick Isaacs joins as Senior Director of Risk, leading Elevate UK’s credit risk, underwriting and data science team based in London. In addition to Nick, Elevate has also invested in two UK-based data scientists to further bolster Elevate’s analytic capabilities with solid UK knowledge and experience. Prior to joining Elevate, Nick was Head of Credit Risk at Premium Credit. Previously, he worked globally for American Express for 14 years, which included holding Chief Credit Officer roles in two different countries.

Scott Greever, Managing Director of Elevate UK, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Nick to the Elevate leadership team. His wealth of experience, along with his passion and enthusiasm make him the ideal person to drive our credit risk and data science strategy forward.

“Operating in an industry in which risk management is so crucial to our success creates a complex situation, especially when faced with strict regulatory remits. Affordability is our number one priority, while ensuring modest profitability and doing our best to provide as many people as we can with an easy, quick and transparent service.

“We’re extremely proud of our performance since we launched Sunny in 2013, and in spite of huge regulatory change, we’ve continued to grow and help a large contingent of UK consumers currently under-served by mainstream lenders. Our success as a business hinges on continually evolving and optimising our data science and analytics, so bolstering capabilities in this area is key to our continued growth, allowing us to help even more under-served consumers in the UK by offering affordable, innovative products in the future.”
