|Wednesday, 05 April 2017|
The Mortgage Lender (TML) has bolstered its ranks with 12 new hires across the business, it announced today. The appointments include the first of those resulting from a grant from economic development agency Scottish Enterprise that will eventually see 109 roles created in Glasgow.
The appointments at TML see five extra faces bolster the underwriting team in Glasgow. Michele Murray Shields, after six years as a mortgage underwriter with Tesco Bank, Louise Ross and Kristine Crawford with 15 and 10 years respectively as assistant managers in the credit team of Airdrie Savings Bank and Moira Mulvaney, who has spent the last five years as an underwriter with Capita Mortgage Services, join as underwriters. Michael Holden also joins the team in the role of new lending team leader, having spent seven years with Santander as Underwriting Department Manager.
A further four roles are being filled in the audit and finance functions, strengthening the risk and control operations within TML’s Glasgow offices further.
The remaining new appointments are within the sales, training and broker relationship teams.
Hugh Meechan, COO at TML, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Michael, Louise, Kristine, Moira and Michelle and the rest of our new recruits to the team. Their appointments underline both our ambitions to grow, our desire to provide fantastic service to our broker partners and customers, and do that with robust processes and controls in place.”
