FSB: Priority must be pro-business environment PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 29 March 2017
Prime Minister Theresa May has triggered the formal proceedings that will see the UK leave the European Union.

Andy Willox, FSB’s Scottish policy convenor, said: “Today’s move by the Prime Minister sets in train events that will have a profound impact on Scottish firms.

“For many in the business community, like the micro-brewer who trades overseas or hotelier who employs non-UK EU workers, there are concerns that need addressed. In particular, the right to remain for EU citizens must be guaranteed at the earliest opportunity.

“As debate opens up about Scotland’s future direction, it will be important that the small business voice isn’t lost. For this reason, FSB will continue to be a key partner for Scotland’s governments. Ensuring that we develop a business environment where Scottish small firms thrive is surely one objective on which Ministers in Edinburgh and London can agree.”
