Destin Solutions form Joint Venture with Ascendant Solutions PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 23 March 2017
Significantly extending their solutions portfolio, Local Authority data reporting and analytics specialists, Destin Solutions have announced the formation of a Joint Venture with Ascendant Solutions Limited. Ascendant Solutions helps organisations to maximise collections by taking their customer data and profiling, cleansing and checking it against numerous data sources to provide a full account of their customers health, wealth and trading status.

Director at Ascendant Solutions Limited, Darren Kelk will be familiar to many in the industry with over 19 years’ experience in the enforcement and debt collection sector working on behalf of agencies in specialist areas such as high volume, low value consumer debt, commercial debt and tracing. His expertise in managing external suppliers and buying bulk downloads has enabled him to create a bespoke data solution that helps drive collections and recovery across numerous market sectors.

Managing Director of Destin Solutions, Nigel McAvoy commented “we are delighted to form this joint venture with Ascendant Solutions who bring with them a tremendous amount of expertise in delivering value-add data and intelligence to help boost debt collection. Working together we can present the results of any data checks and cleansing activity on our securely encrypted portal, utilising the latest dashboard and reporting technology to provide a truly interactive experience for data browsing. The portal can also be configured to display data using a traffic light system which scores and ranks results of data checks enabling customers to make more meaningful decisions quickly.”

Darren Kelk from Ascendant Solutions went onto say “with 100% business rates retention moving forward on the political agenda, we expect to see an increase in the amount of Local Authorities requiring a full breakdown of information on all businesses in their area. Our product, Ascendant, helps identify businesses at a granular level, linking directors and associated businesses to maximise efficiencies. Having live data feeds we update our clients daily on a whole host of changes that have an impact on revenue, for example - companies not currently being billed that should be billed. Ascendant also provides a full audit trail documenting small business rates relief and identifies Ghost and Shell companies at a very early stage. Simply put, it highlights business trends using key triggers that have been developed with the needs of Revenues Managers in mind.”

Ascendant has many different applications incorporating trace services, business intelligence reporting, fraud detection and risk management. Full workflow capabilities can also be built into Ascendant, so if certain information is flagged, following a fresh data upload, alerts can be set up to go to key contacts in an organisation advising them of next actions required.

Primarily providing solutions to Local Authorities, Utilities and Commercial Lending markets, Ascendant can be uniquely configured to resolve industry specific collection issues through the provision of intelligent data that supplements and builds on a customer’s existing data.
