Close Brothers Motor Finance raise £13k for Great Ormond Street PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 09 September 2016
Close Brothers Motor Finance employees have raised an impressive £12,898.47 for Great Ormond Street Hospital through a series of charity events.

In a bid to raise money for the charity, employees from the business took part in a range of fundraising initiatives, including a 1,300 mile cycling challenge between all of Close Brothers Motor Finance’s offices. This cycling event saw John Murphy, Account Manager at the Sheffield Branch, covering the largest distance (140 miles).

Close Brothers Motor Finance’s network of dealers also had the opportunity to get involved with the charity initiatives, with some branches even putting their account managers up for auction. Other fund-raising initiatives included cake sales, quizzes, racing nights and a silent auction.

The money raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital will go towards purchasing special cots which help babies maintain temperature while they are in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

James Broadhead, CEO of Close Brothers Motor Finance commented: “I’d like to commend the efforts of all those who took part in charity initiatives to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital. From the great determination shown by our staff who took part in our cycle challenge, to the dealers and employees who dug deep to bid on our silent auction, everyone has played their part in helping us raise even more money for such a vital charity and cause.”
