Wednesday, 31 August 2016
Xactium has been chosen by Morrison Utility Services (MUS), the UK’s leading utility services provider, to help manage its risk management processes for greater operational efficiencies and enhanced management services.

MUS work with utility company clients in the electricity, gas, water and telecommunications sectors helping them renew, refurbish and maintain their infrastructure and networks. With around 80% of their workforce is operating in local communities with an operational footprint that covers the majority of the UK, the work MUS carry out equates to over one million streetworks excavations a year.

Recognising the need to implement an ERM solution, MUS has recently transferred their systems over from spreadsheets to Xactium. Effective risk management delivers significant benefits to any business, MUS has now made implemented an essential process in order to remain competitive as well as meeting the growing demand to understand the value of risk management.

The decision to manage this process has been driven by Graeme Cross, Business Systems Director. “Xactium was a perfect fit with our “Cloud first” IT strategy, resulting in a fast and flexible delivery of a risk management solution into our business. The users have found the solution to be intuitive so training has not been a burden to them. The inbuilt workflow that sends email reminders to action and risk owners has helped our staff manage their priorities. Xactium were easy to work with and their experience has added a lot of value to our continuous improvement approach to risk management” Graeme Cross, MUS.

Andy Evans, Managing Director, Xactium says: “It’s a pleasure to have delivered to Morrison Utility Services our flexible, risk management solution. This further demonstrates our ability to deliver to clients within the highly competitive and fast moving utilities sector, where there is a specific emphasis on project, enterprise and health and safety risk”
