The Money Shop partners with Money Advice Service to launch an online money management platform PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 03 August 2016
The Money Shop, a leading provider of consumer finance - both online and on the high-street - has today announced the launch of its independent online money management platform. It will allow customers - and the wider public - to access a number of articles and interactive tools to help with all their daily financial needs.

This new feature has been produced in partnership with the Money Advice Service, an independent organisation set up by the government to provide free and impartial money advice. Resources and tools available as part of this online platform have been certified by the Money Advice Service, and are geared towards helping people make the right financial decisions.

The platform - available on www.themoneyshop.com/money-management-tools/ - provides a number of interactive tools that will give customers and the wider public information tailored to their needs, including:

· Budget planner
· Money saving guides
· Car cost calculator
· Savings calculator
· Baby cost calculator
· Christmas money planner
· Bank balance calculator

Stuart Howard, CEO of The Money Shop and Dollar UK, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Money Advice Service to bring these tools to all our online customers and the wider public.

“It is important to us that our customers make the right financial decisions whatever their situation, and we are keen to assist in the best way we can, by providing certified, impartial financial support through this new platform.

“The Money Shop is introducing a number of improvements throughout the business, all intended to ensure customers continue to receive the highest quality service. Alongside this independent online service, we have already improved our affordability assessments and are no longer charging default fees. In addition to introducing new products and services, we are transforming our stores, and are a proud Living Wage employer.”

Caroline Rookes, CEO at the Money Advice Service, comments: “We are pleased to see that information and tools from the Money Advice Service will be featured on The Money Shop’s online money management platform. We hope that the planners and calculators will enable people to get a better understanding of their spending habits, costs and how much they could save, thereby increasing levels of financial resilience and helping people make informed decisions about their money.”
