CBI Industrial trends survey - comment from P2P lender ThinCats PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 22 June 2016
Responding to the latest figures from the CBI Industrial Trends survey,   Kevin Caley, Founder and Chairman of ThinCats, said:   “It’s heartening to see more optimism from Britain’s beleaguered manufacturers, but with skills shortages, political uncertainty and inadequate access to finance, the UK is still facing an uphill battle to remain the world’s eleventh largest manufacturer*.”

“From today’s CBI figures, it’s clear the industry is facing major export challenges. For smaller firms looking to grow, there are also far too many hurdles on the way to obtaining funding. Alternative finance is currently helping to clear this path, but if the sector is to continue its current momentum, more routes to finance must be opened.”
