DataVita implements Ideagen’s Q-Pulse for Quality Management PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 03 June 2016
DataVita, operator of Fortis, the UK’s first independent GxP compliant datacentre, has selected Ideagen’s Q-Pulse software to manage and maintain its quality management operations.

In July this year, DataVita will launch the UK’s leading energy efficient datacentre and with it a range of innovative agile cloud services. Both the datacentre facility and the cloud services will be GxP compliant. Q-Pulse is a major component in achieving its targeted levels of quality, including GxP compliance requirements and ISO certifications such as 27001 and 9001.

The Fortis datacentre is the first purpose built facility in Scotland and one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in the UK. It is the first “cloud enabled” datacentre, allowing companies to easily mix co-location services with a cloud services, providing the capability to create a hybrid IT model that integrates with public cloud services.

The day-to-day quality management processes and operational procedures Q-Pulse supports make it a critical component in maintaining the datacentre’s accreditation requirements, which are fundamental to ensuring it meets the needs of its customers.

Gareth Lush, Commercial Director of DataVita Ltd, said: “Ideagen’s Q-Pulse is a critical component for us in achieving one of our core values as a business – comprehensive quality management.

“It completely supports our operations and service offerings and was the only product which we felt was suitable enough to manage all of our standard accreditations, including GxP and ISO 9001 and 27001 compliance.

“Q-Pulse will help us save hours of time in the management of our quality processes and commitments, and will enable us to manage our accreditations with a fraction of the effort than we’ve seen before.”

Paul Marshall, Ideagen’s Head of Life Sciences, added: “This is an exciting project for Ideagen and a considerable and significant one for our Life Science team.

“In recent years we have helped some of the biggest Life Science companies in the world manage quality and thus become a more rounded and efficient organisation in the process.

“We are delighted that DataVita has come on board with Ideagen and Q-Pulse and we are very much looking forward to working alongside them in what we believe will be a long term and fruitful relationship.”
