Wednesday, 25 May 2016
Equifax Inc. (NYSE: EFX) a global information solutions provider, has opened a new office in Leeds at 6 Wellington Place, underscoring its continued growth in the UK.

Having successfully relocated from Bradford, around 200 staff will benefit from a contemporary flexible working environment. The new site offers first-class technology infrastructure coupled with a wide range of environmentally friendly facilities including a garden area, a green roof and cycle parking bays. The teams based in Wellington Place include those responsible for providing business analytics, insights and services for clients across the UK, as well as central functions such as IT, human resources and finance.

Founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1899, Equifax Inc. employs over 9,000 worldwide and gathers and maintains information on over 800 million consumers worldwide. It has grown from a traditional consumer credit company to become a global leader in information solutions, using unique trusted data, technology and innovative analytics to help its customers make informed decisions.

The office space, located on the first floor, is modelled on the Equifax Madrid office. It includes a multitude of break-out areas and meeting rooms, named after countries representing the company’s offices around the globe. The site, which also offers a 5-a-side floodlit football pitch and gym, is closely connected to transport links including Leeds City train station.

John Hartman, President – International, Equifax Inc., said: “As the UK’s second largest centre for financial services, Leeds offers the perfect new home for the team as we continue to invest and expand in the UK. The larger office gives us the flexibility to build on our strong talent pool across technology, data and analytics.

“It’s important that the new office reflects our culture. The enhanced facilities provide our team with an inspiring working environment, while access to the latest technology ensures we’re equipped with the best tools available to grow our client base and service offering.”

Leeds is home to over 25,000 businesses, employing over 46,000 people in the financial and professional services sector. The city expects to see growth of 50% in these sectors by 2022*.
