CVR Global expands into the British Virgin Islands PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 18 May 2016
Insolvency and restructuring firm CVR Global LLP has grown in its international presence with the launch of a new office in Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands.

John Greenwood, who has more than 25 years of experience as a lawyer, insolvency and trust practitioner and as a banker specialising in the insolvency, banking and finance, fraud investigation and asset recovery, has been appointed by CVR Global to lead its international expansion, the first office being in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

Greenwood, whose practice has been focused offshore since 1997, is joined in the British Virgin Islands by Annette Collins, as a Partner, and Wes Edwards as Director.

Collins is previously a corporate banker with Scotiabank in the BVI and Edwards is an experienced licenced insolvency practitioner, both in the UK and in many offshore jurisdictions, who has a considerable wealth of expertise in global fraud investigation and asset tracing.

CVR Global now has seven offices across the UK and internationally, and a team of around 70.

Richard Toone, Managing Partner of CVR Global, said: “We are delighted to have launched the new international division with our first offshore office in the British Virgin Islands and to welcome John, Annette and Wes on board.

“Expanding our international presence was one of our key aspirations when we launched the business in August and we are pleased to be ahead of schedule with the new office opening.

“We are targeting strong growth across the UK and internationally and John, Annette and Wes will be integral to our plans in the British Virgin Islands.”

Greenwood added: “Launching in Tortola is the next logical phase in the growth of CVR Global and I am pleased to be leading the firm’s international teams.

“I’ve worked closely with Richard, Kevin Murphy and some of the other partners over the last three years and we share many of the same ambitions and goals in business. I am looking forward to working with the team to grow the company and the CVR Global name.”

CVR Global operates as an independent provider of restructuring, insolvency, fraud investigation, asset recovery and pensions advisory services and has six offices in the UK.
