|Former Money Advice Service Executive Joins Global Analytics as Marketing Head|

Global Analytics, the parent company of Lending Stream – one of the UK’s leading consumer credit firms – has appointed former Money Advice Service (MAS) Executive Director, Mark Fiander, to lead its UK marketing strategy.
Mark joins Global Analytics after a former role at the money management and advice organisation where he was executive director for 3.5 years, working alongside financial services firms, regulators, voluntary organisations and government departments. During his time at the MAS, Mark led development of the customer proposition to deliver a multichannel service receiving over 20 million visits a year and that nine out of ten would recommend.
Mark joined Global Analytics in February 2016 – an established Fintech company that is leading the consumer credit market through its pioneering use of advanced data-analytics programmes. These systems enable it to incorporate significantly more information about applicants to yield better underwriting decisions when lending.
Its sophisticated model enables the firm to better assess whether customers can repay, helping them to access simple, straightforward financial services that meet their needs, with a fair and flexible repayment process.
Mark says: “The industry has undergone a big regulatory shake-up recently and the majority of lenders have needed to make changes to their business models and practices.
“In contrast, Global Analytics has a proven track record of responsible lending that spans several years as well as an ability to create innovative, affordable credit products that are respectful of individual needs.
“I’m delighted to be joining a genuinely pioneering lender and I believe we have the strategy, efficiencies and expert resource to lead the market.”
Global Analytics aims to change lending to consumers that are not, or do not wish to be, served by mainstream banks, encouraging responsible behaviour to help improve the financial standing of its’ customers.
Mark will be charged with building on the responsible lending focus of the company and furthering the brand equity of the business as it aims to increase its customer base – in particular what it describes as the ‘financial middle’ – consumers which are on the periphery of mainstream lending and in need of responsible, fair and transparent credit services.
