Tuesday, 16 February 2016

akinika Debt Recovery Ltd, part of Capita Asset Services, has announced that it is now fully authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to carry out regulated debt collection and debt administration activity.

akinika, managing director, Simon Smith said: “We are extremely proud of this achievement. The increasing regulatory environment is a key focus for businesses like ours, and to be one of the first debt collection agencies to achieve FCA authorisation really sets us apart and demonstrates deep competence and quality in what we do and what we offer our clients.”

Following a comprehensive application process, full authorisation from the FCA is in force without any conditions or restrictions. Smith has been fully approved to act as an Approved Person, alongside a number of Capita Divisional Directors.

Smith added: “The process to gain authorisation has further enabled us to reinforce our customer centric approach in everything we do.”

Akinika specialises in consumer and commercial debt collection and acts on behalf of a significant number of the biggest blue chip organisations in the public and private sectors.
