Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group advises on the corporate restructuring of Blue Inc PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 21 January 2016

Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group has advised A Levy & Son on a restructuring process, securing the future of 1,500 employees.  Neil Bennett and Alex Cadwallader were appointed joint administrators to A Levy & Son on 19 January 2016.

A Levy & Son, which trades as Blue Inc and Officers Club achieved sales of over £100m in 2014 through its 230 stores and an expanding overseas and online business.

As a result of this deal, Blue Inc has protected the growth of the business by securing a more focused portfolio of stores, and thus, greater alignment with its customers as it continues to see the growth of online shopping as well as through bricks and mortar.

Neil Bennett, Director at Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group, says: “We are delighted that the sale of A Levy & Son has helped to safeguard the future of 1,500 employees.”

Alex Cadwallader, Director at Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group, says: “Blue Inc is in an even stronger position as a result of this deal and will be better placed to continue its growth plans. This restructuring deal represented the best outcome possible for the employees and the customers. The buyer has every intention of honouring vouchers and customer returns.”

Neil Bennett added: “We are working closely with the directors to ensure a smooth transition of the business.”
