Individual Enforcement Agents Now Have a Voice PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 17 November 2015

The Certificated Enforcement Agents Association (CEAA) was officially launched in September 2015, and has had a higher than expected number of Enforcement Agents registering an interest in becoming members.

The Association was formed by a number of Enforcement Agents who thought there was a need in the industry for the individual Enforcement Agent to have a voice, as after all they are the ones standing on the door step interacting with customers, and until now they had no way of making their comments and feelings known.

Dave Rayner, one of the founding members of the CEAA said, “we admire the hard work and professionalism CIVEA brings to the industry but with their focus centred on representing the enforcement companies, there is a need for the CEAA to represent the voice of the individual Enforcement Agent”.

The CEAA hopes that by working with CIVEA it can improve on the work they have already done in continually striving to improve the position of the enforcement industry as a whole, but by adding the thoughts and feelings of the individual Enforcement Agents.

One of the areas in which the CEAA will be able to assist Government is in that future consultations can be discussed by members at one of the 6 regional sub groups with the feedback being submitted in one document by the Association, that way any number of Enforcement Agents can have actual input, which is something that has never happened in the past.

One of the first initiatives of the Association is to work with the insurance industry in providing all aspects of cover for its members under one umbrella, including the provision of the Enforcement Agents bond, and is hoping to make an announcement later this month.

Following the endorsing of the Association by Collect Services, which says it will only use Enforcement Agents who are members of CEAA, another major company has committed to having all its Enforcement Agents join in the coming month, and a Local Authority that provides in-house enforcement has made the same commitment for their Enforcement Agents before the end of November.
