|Hampshire Trust Bank grows team with experienced HR hire|

Hampshire Trust Bank, the specialist challenger bank, has announced the appointment of Michael Paterson as Head of Human Resources.
Prior to joining the bank, Michael, who has more than 10 years’ HR experience, worked as Head of Human Resources at Munich Re Underwriting, with previous roles at companies including Tokio Marine Kiln and Guardian Media Group.
Before embarking on a career in HR, Michael was a journalist, working at a number of national titles including The Daily Telegraph, Mail on Sunday and The Scotsman.
Talking about why he decided to join the bank, Michael said: “I have joined Hampshire Trust Bank at an early stage in its inception, meaning I have the opportunity to make a real impact and a chance to build on the great work that has already taken place.
“Banking regulation is constantly evolving. The Prudential Regulation Authority and Financial Conduct Authority are introducing new standards that impact heavily on people management activities. I look forward to the challenge and to helping building a bank that is engineered for the future.”
