Fleet Mortgages appoints two new BDMs PDF Print E-mail

Fleet Mortgages, the buy-to-let and specialist lender, has today (2nd November 2015) announced the expansion of its team with the addition of two new field-based Business Development Managers (BDMs).

The new BDMs are Kathryn Sheppard, covering Northern England, and Paul Rockett, covering the South West. Both Kathryn and Paul will be working on the road growing the number of distribution partners in these areas.

Kathryn joins Fleet Mortgages has significant financial services experience having previously worked for HSBC, but joins having worked most recently for Golden Charter. Her region covers Northern England including Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds and Sheffield.

Paul becomes part of the Fleet Mortgages team bringing with him huge experience in the market working for TBMC, Verso, Pink Home Loans, Paragon and Birmingham Midshires to name but a few. Most recently Paul has been running his own luxury chocolate and fudge business in the Forest of Dean. His region covers the South West including Bristol, Plymouth, Southampton, Exeter and South Wales.

Both Kathryn and Paul will report to Sales Director, Ross Turrell, and are likely to be joined by a number of further new regional BDMs to be announced shortly.

Fleet Mortgages is actively recruiting for further members of staff to join a number of its departments. The lender has grown from 18 employees a year ago, up to 40 now, with the expectation that 50 members of staff will be in place by Christmas. It anticipates that 30 new employees will join the business over the next twelve months.

Fleet Mortgages only deals with the intermediary market and its products are tailored towards experienced landlords and property investors. It covers mainstream buy-to-let residential mortgages as well as finance for those investing through limited company vehicles and houses in multiple occupation (HMO).

Ross Turrell, Sales Director at Fleet Mortgages, said: “Both new recruits are ‘high calibre’ even though they have markedly different career backgrounds. The key thing is that they have the right skill-set and a ‘can do’ attitude to maintaining Fleet Mortgages’ reputation for being proactive, professional and helpful.”
