Barfast set to grow and recruit with funding from Aldermore PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 09 September 2015

Barfast Engineering Supplies Ltd, a business based in Newcastle-under-Lyme which supplies goods to the engineering trade, has agreed a new finance facility with Aldermore to underpin its continued growth and development.

Barfast specialises in selling threaded fasteners and fixings and has been serving customers in and around Newcastle-under-Lyme for seven years under its current ownership. The facility from Aldermore will enable the owners to invest in the company’s expansion and take on a number of new employees within the coming months.
Kevin Collingwood, Sales Director of Barfast Engineering Supplies Ltd, said:

“For small businesses like ours, cash flow can sometimes be constrained so the facility from Aldermore will help us pay for our purchasing and orders and will give us a bit more breathing space on a day-to-day basis. We looked at three other providers and what stood out about Aldermore was that they really care about small businesses – their expertise shows and it gave us confidence to go with them.
“This facility will help us grow the business and I am really pleased that it has put us in the position of being able to recruit new team members from the local area.”
Tom O’Dell, Regional Sales Manager, Invoice Finance (Staffordshire & Cheshire) at Aldermore, said:

“Barfast is a really dynamic small business with excellent growth potential – exactly the kind of company that we are looking to provide finance to. Kevin and the team are really keen to drive the business forward and expand their team.

“Aldermore is all about helping SMEs like Barfast and it’s great to see that business owners in the Potteries are recognising that they can trust us to support them in their growth”.
