Equifax appointed by ClearScore for the launch of free credit score service PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 02 July 2015

Equifax, the business insights expert, has been awarded a five year contract to provide identity verification, credit reports and credit scores for ClearScore’s new free-of-charge consumer service.

ClearScore is the first service to provide UK consumers with free, ongoing access to their credit score and the credit report data on which it is built. ClearScore will also match consumers with potentially suitable financial products based on their current credit profile, taking guesswork and unnecessary credit applications out of the process.
The service is planned to go live later this month.
Jake Ranson, Director of Banking and Financial Institutions at Equifax, says: “Partnering with ClearScore is a great way to enable a wider audience to access their Equifax credit data. The new service will be invaluable, allowing consumers to obtain and understand their credit score, and to use this information to help find the best value financial products for their individual circumstances.
“ClearScore is investing heavily to develop and evolve its business and has ambitious plans to grow its consumer client base. Our long term partnership will ensure it has constant access to best of breed data, insights and analytics to help enable its customers to make informed and qualified financial decisions. ClearScore’s business is designed to meet the needs of today’s consumers; it is an excellent example of a how the industry is adapting to provide more transparency and choice.”
Justin Basini, CEO and Co-Founder of ClearScore, comments: “ClearScore will provide credit scores and reports to consumers completely free, and we are delighted to be partnering with Equifax to bring ClearScore to millions of UK consumers.”
