The Engage programme is the result of months of detailed partner workshops and over 200 presentations to and consultations with credit unions undertaken by the Contis Group. This programme has been specifically designed to enable the UK credit union movement advance from what is currently a group of hardworking independent organisations, seen as lacking in cohesive support, to achieve their true potential, into a nationally branded banking, payments and loyalty provider.

The programme has an entry level to suit all credit union requirements, delivering a customer winning range of new member products and credit union services including:

    •    Engage Classic account:
Designed to achieve 100% financial inclusion within all communities, the Engage Classic account is free to obtain and requires no credit checks. With ethical pay-as-you-go fees, the Classic account provides full Visa debit card functionality, UK sort code and account number, online account, free mobile app and money management tools plus local and national cash back rewards
 
    •    Engage Current account:
Full bank account capability with direct debit facility, a Visa debit card, online and mobile payments, local and national rewards and all for one low monthly fee.
 
    •    Engage Business Account:

Now credit unions can provide local SME's, sole traders and partnerships with full business banking and payment card capability. The Engage Business account has all the functionality of a current account and includes the option to run payroll and expense cards on the same account. It is designed to allow credit unions to work closer with local businesses, help their community prosper and build greater brand awareness.
 
    •    Engage "SmartCash" account:
SmartCash provides junior credit union members aged up to 16 with a personal account that is both safe to use and easily monitored and controlled by parents. The account will build loyalty with young savers and help retain them until they progress to full adult credit union member status.
 
    •    Engage banking, administration and accounting platform:
The Engage programme can provide all credit unions with a holistic, advanced yet user friendly, back office solution capable of managing all day to day operations including: accounting activities, member payments, account activities, savings and loans processing, member on-boarding and full customer relationship management. The platform easily processes services including payroll deduction, lottery administration and includes full FCA and annual return document generation.
 
Currently working within a number of financial organisations and with currently 10 Engage credit unions partners undergoing implementation before 1st October 2015, the banking, administration and accounting platform is the most comprehensive package available to credit unions at a cost that is affordable to all budgets.
 
    •    Engage Local and National rewards:
All members will have access to a range of credit union rewards of up to 15% cash-back on everyday shopping at both national retailers and their favourite local shops when they use the Visa debit card provided with their Engage account. Huge member discounts are also available on utilities, mobile/broadband contracts and selected pay-as-you-go insurance products.
 
    •    Engage Credit Union Support Services:
Every Engage partner credit union receives full marketing, consulting and compliance advice, education and training - all provided by our highly experienced team whom have one objective: to make credit unions grow and deliver sustainable profitability.
