|Freedom Finance urges comparison websites to adopt soft search to stop misleading consumers|

This week, an investigation by Channel 4's Dispatches revealed that thousands of savers who used comparison websites to select a savings account have been misled, costing them up to £500 a year in lost interest. Some well-known sites came under fire for advertising poor-value savings accounts as "best buys" despite rates being up to 37pc lower than the actual best rates on the market.
Dispatches compared four major comparison websites, Confused.com, Go Compare, Moneysupermarket and Comparethemarket, as part of the investigation.
