Thursday, 07 May 2015
Spratt Endicott Solicitors, in partnership with UK Trade and Investments (UKTI) and Barclays Bank, is hosting a free trading clinic for SMEs that have increased their export levels in recent years and would like to learn more about trading in the global market. The event will take place on Thursday 14th May between 9am and 12pm at The Littlebury Hotel in Bicester.

There is currently a huge demand for high quality British products and services all over the world and it can be a daunting prospect for small to medium size companies looking to expand their business into this area. This event is designed to be an interactive experience and will explore the following topics:

    •    The opportunities of trading abroad
    •    Which corners of the world are right for your business
    •    How to mitigate exchange rate risks
    •    The pros and cons of direct sales, distribution agreements and agency agreements
    •    International debt recovery
    •    How to participate in an overseas company

John Spratt, Senior Partner at Spratt Endicott, adds: “The event is aimed at any SME who is considering international trade or is already trading abroad and would like some further advice. It can be a difficult and confusing process and we are here to help. It is important that anyone exporting is aware of the legal implications in different countries to avoid coming up against any pitfalls that could be damaging to their business.”

Registration for the event will take place from 8.30am and it is free to attend. It is suitable for both those considering international trade and for companies already trading abroad.
