Debt Squared Group bolsters team as business continues to grow PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 14 April 2015

Debt Squared Group, a specialist intelligence and debt recovery business operating from its head office in Chester, has made a number of significant appointments to its team to further support its growing client portfolio.

Following legislative changes last year surrounding Commercial Rent Arrears Recovery (CRAR), the company has capitalized on the changes by introducing an exclusive service offering called Service Charge Arrears Recovery (SCAR), which eases the burden on commercial landlords and property agents in the recovery process of outstanding accounts and as a result has been responsible for significant revenue generation.

The company has also invested in its training arm, by partnering with RICS to provide CPD sessions for its members across the UK, focused on understanding the implications of CRAR.

The most notable appointment is, Duncan Grubb who was Head of Credit Control for Hammerson Plc, with overall responsibility for the credit control teams on the company’s portfolio of Shopping Centres and Retail Parks. Additionally, after 5 years in the position, Duncan recently stood down as Chairman of the British Property Federation Insolvency Committee. Duncan joins the company and will be responsible for developing the firm’s tenant monitoring and intelligence management services, as well as working alongside the current presentation team, delivering CPD workshops.

Meanwhile the senior team has restructured with Rupert Atkinson, who joined the business in 2014, taking on the role of CEO to drive the business through a strategic growth phase.

Byron Crellin, who founded the business in 2009 remains involved as Group Director, continuing to oversee operational procedures and business development, drawing on his 20+ years industry experience.

The operations team has also expanded with a number of appointments:

Sabrina Chisholm formally of CBRE has been appointed as a Recovery Account Manager, responsible for case management and support for a number of national and regional clients.

Andreas Powell joined the team as Accountants Administrator, responsible for the processing of client monies recovered by the operations team.

Connor Humphreys has taken on the role of Sales & Marketing Assistant, largely responsible for coordinating and promoting the RICS training events and client seminars across the UK.
