Short-term lenders deserve their place on healthy high streets PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 26 March 2015

Commenting on the Royal Society of Public Health's (RSPH) Healthy High Streets report, Russell Hamblin-Boone, Chief Executive of the Consumer Finance Association (CFA), which represents some of the best known short-term lenders, said:

"As legal, licenced and heavily regulated businesses, short term lenders not only deserve their place on the high street but are far from the harmful businesses claimed by the RSPH. Loan stores provide a range of financial services, including foreign currency exchange, money transfer and second hand sales. Customers do not want social interaction when sorting their finances. They want access, flexibility, understanding, protection and discretion and a personal touch."
