United Trust Bank aims high with a move to new City offices PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 18 March 2015

United Trust Bank is aiming to take its’ business to a whole new level with a move to new offices in Moorgate. The United Trust Bank team are no strangers to high rise working, having resided on the 11th floor of New Zealand House in Haymarket for the last 10 years. Their move to the 28th floor of CityPoint will, however, certainly test their head for heights.

United Trust Bank has almost doubled its staff numbers in the last three years and has now outgrown the space available at its current offices. Despite securing extra space on an additional floor last year, the Bank has continued to expand faster than the space available. Accordingly, just before Christmas, the Banks’ directors agreed to take a new lease on offices in the prestigious CityPoint in the heart of London’s financial district.

Harley Kagan, Managing Director of United Trust Bank, said;

“This is a very exciting time for United Trust Bank. The business has grown substantially over the last few years as we’ve added new products and attracted a much wider broker base. Demand for our services continues to grow and we have plans to develop the business still further with additional new products and enhancements in the pipeline. With our recruitment drive set to continue throughout 2015, we needed to take decisive action.

“The new offices in CityPoint will give us the space we need to deliver our expansion plans and give our team a superb working environment. As you’d expect, the building is being equipped with the latest technology and this will complement the ongoing development of our own IT and communication systems. And being situated in The City we’ll have excellent transport links and be close to many of the brokers and businesses with whom we regularly transact. Although the views we have from New Zealand House are amazing, the views across London from our new offices are equally stunning. We’re looking forward to welcoming brokers, colleagues and customers to our new offices after Easter.”

CityPoint, previously known as Britannic House and Britannic Tower, was completed in 1967 and refurbished in 2001. At 122m tall it became the first building in the City of London to exceed the height of St Paul’s Cathedral and remained the tallest building in the City until 1980. Despite having an extra 5m added to its height during the refurbishment, CityPoint is now the fifth tallest building in the City of London and the 13th tallest in Greater London. Citypoint is just a few minutes’ walk from Moorgate tube and railway stations and around 10 minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street station and Bank.
