David Cameron has come under fire for proposals aimed at protecting companies from insolvency as a result of the credit crunch. 

In a speech to the CBI, Mr Cameron promised to consult on having a British version of the US Chapter 11 system, which enables a company in financial difficulties to continue trading and keep people in work while it comes up with a rescue package.
