Huntswood poised for growth as consumer credit firms respond to change

Huntswood, a provider of specialist expertise, technology and operational solutions, has opened a new Centre of Excellence in Liverpool, extending its support for a wide range of consumer credit providers as they adapt to customer changes and seek to achieve regulatory compliance.

The move sees Huntswood open another dedicated outsourcing facility, creating a significant number of employment opportunities for the North West. The new Centre of Excellence is in the recently redeveloped Grade II listed Watson Building, located in close proximity to Liverpool Central Railway Station. The building is energy efficient, possesses cutting-edge IT capabilities and has seamless access to transport infrastructure across road, rail and air.

The North West region is key to Huntswood’s growth plans, as the company responds to the increased demand for its specialist Intelligent Customer Management Experience (iCMX). Huntswood has a history of contributing to the surrounding area though job creation having supported projects in Ellesmere Port and Speke.

Outsourcing continues to prove itself as a strategic enabler for consumer credit firms as they strive to meet regulatory standards, with the FCA focused on increasing consumer protection and public confidence. Enhancing operational excellence, increased efficiency, and improved customer experience levels are currently top of the agenda for firms in the sector.

Kirk Croal, Managing Director of Outsourcing at Huntswood, said: “As the regulatory landscape for lenders becomes increasingly complex, achieving compliance can be labour-intensive, requiring an investment in resources. Along with regulatory pressures, customer expectations are shifting rapidly and, as a result, we are seeing an increase in the number of consumer credit firms seeking specialist expertise to help them respond. Our new Centre of Excellence in Liverpool offers additional capacity and much-needed support to businesses in the North West and beyond.”
