Matthew Ingram and Tyrone Courtman, both of Duff & Phelps Ltd., Joint Administrators of Accessible Transport Group Limited, have successfully sold the former Accessible Transport Group premises in Aston, to West Midlands Accessible Transport, a subsidiary of National Express.
The sale of the freehold property to West Midlands Accessible Transport adds further certainty to the future of service provision in the region given that this site is now owned by the same company which bought Accessible Transport Group out of administration in August 2019.
West Midlands Accessible Transport operates the Ring & Ride service, providing accessible transport services for people in the West Midlands who experience mobility impairment or social isolation in urban and rural environments, together with home to school services for children and young adults with special educational needs.
Matthew Ingram, Joint Administrator, stated: “We have today secured the sale of the 68,000 sq. ft site to the transport service provider itself. The deal we have negotiated will provide a stable base for the business, ensuring the long-term provision of these vital services across the West Midlands.”
Matthew Ingram and Tyrone Courtman were appointed Joint Administrators of Accessible Transport Group Limited, Ring and Ride West Midlands Limited and Accessible Tranport Group Contract Services Limited in March 2019. The Charities were rescued through a sale to West Midlands Accessible Transport, part of National Express in August of the same year.
